Black History Month- Carter G. Woodson

In our class we are learning about a famous Black person each day for the month of February. The leader that we learned about today was Carter G. Woodson. Here is some information about Carter:
Woodson was a Harvard Doctorate Historian. He first founded an organization called the Association for the Study of Negro Life and History, which has been renamed the Association for the Study of Afro-American Life and History. He founded Negro History Week in 1926, which later became Black History Month.
