My Aunt likes to say that she learned to cook by watching Julia Child cook on TV. Some of her shows were quite funny,especially when she would drop something. She'd pick it up and sort of dust it off and continue to use it like nothing had happened. It probably fell on stage hand and not the floor. There were several of them sitting on the floor around her and out of sight. They would hand pots and pans to her and catch any falling items.
Can you imagine what a ruckus it would have caused if she dropped a chopping knife?!
