Today we used the story starter seen here - The Third Floor Bedroom Window- It all began when someone left the window open. You should see some of the stories that the students wrote! They did a great job:)
Are you going to post your stories? I'd love to read them. I use to do this with my students with another Van Allsburg book "The Mystery of Harris Burdick". I'll bet if you go to Chris Van Allsburg's website you'll find some very interesting things going on. He usually has some kind of writing contest going on.
