Grace Hopper Ph.D(1906-1992) was a math genius and cyber-language inventor. "Amazing Grace" was a rear admiral in the U.S. Navy, and was the first woman to achieve that rank.
Talk about your computer wizards, this lady was one of the first. When she developed the cyber language COBOL for the first big system, that system took up a couple of rooms. When someone says that thye have a "bug" in their system or they have to "debug" a system, you have Grace to thank for the terminology. She used it first because there really was a bug in the workings of the computer messing things up. It was a moth. Now we use it to mean any problem going on with our computers.
