91. Antonia Novello


The first Hispanic woman to be surgeon general was doctor Antonia Novell0(1944-). This pediatrician and native of Puerto Rico became the nation's top doctor.

  1. I didn't know anything about her and was surprised to know that we had had a woman as Surgeon General during the first Bush presidency. Guess i wasn't paying attention back then.
