22. Susan B. Anthony

Susan B. Anthony(1820-1906) and her friend Elizabeth Cady Stanton spent the entire second half of the 19th century speaking, organizing, and writing to win fair treatment and suffrage for women. Miss Anthony was cruelly criticized, made fun of, and once arrested, when she voted in the election of 1872. "Susan B." bcame the first woman to have her face on U.S. money-a silver dollar, issued in 1979.

  1. It must be nice having your face on money. Isn't it a shame that the only way some people can criticize others is by making fun of them and the good that they do. How very small minded they must be.
