With the help of her valiant teacher, Annie Sullivan, twenty-two year old Helen Keller(1880-1968) had conquered blindness and deafness, graduated with honors from Radcliffe College, and written her autobiography. She became a champion for the disabled.

Whenever, I feel like I can't do something, I think of someone like Helen. She wanted to learn and didn't let blindness or deafness stop her. She didn't sit around all day moping about how bad the world and life were to her. She got up and did what she had to do.
