Journalist Ida Bell Wells-Barnett (1862-1931), known as "Iola," had to work very hard demanding justice for blacks, and votes for women, whatever color they were. She crusaded against lynching all over the country.

It is so hard to imagine living in an atmosphere like that and waking up everyday to fight for basic human rights.
