51.Carrie Chapman Catt

What a triumph it was for Alice and Carrie Chapman Catt(1859-1947), the determined leader of the National American Woman Suffrage Association, and for millions of American womne, when they finally won full citizenship: the right to vote. At last on August 26, 1920, the ladies were remembered.

  1. Look how long it took for the men of this country to come to their senses. These women fought hard and long for these basic rights. When you are old enough to vote get out there and do it. Learn all you can about the people running for office and then cast your vote to make a difference. We owe them that much for all that they suffered.
