44. Madame C.J. Walker


Sarah B. McWilliams(1867-1919), who became known as Madame C.J. Walker. This laundress developed a formula for smooth, glossy hair in 1905. She sold her "Walker method" door-to-door, and became a millionare-the first black businesswoman to do so.
